Fundraising for our brother Asmelash Kahsay in Africana Cafe
Posted on, Feb. 3, 2018
Interview with political analyst Muluwork Kidanemarim.
Asmelash Kahsay, as a registered nurse and public health specialist served at different level, in rural part of Tigray region for more than 20 years.
Because of terrible bajaj taxi accident, he sustained spinal cord injury which left him paralyzed below his waist.
After he has been treated in Mekelle and Addis Ababa in public and private hospitals, he got a referral and came to USA for further treatment.
As you all know specially nowadays, if you do not have proper documentation and good health insurance, it's very hard for patients in his health condition to get treatment.
His sister Amleset Kahsay, done her best, went way above and beyond her budget to help her brother. The cost associated with the physical therapy is astronomical.
So she has nowhere to go for help except her community. Asmelash and his wife Fireweyni Hailemariam, know the medical terms and languages better than most of us, they know his condition is severe and needs long term care and rehab.
So they determined to go back home since they also left under age kids, but they need therapeutic equipments and supplies.
Could you please join us to raise fund to our brother.
