Federal Career Intern Program
THE FEDERAL CAREER INTERN PROGRAM (FCIP) is a 2-year, entry-level, full-time employment and career development training program in the excepted service.  The FCIP is designed to prepare individuals for a career in public service. Upon successful completion of the program, FCIP participants may receive a permanent, career-conditional, full-time position within the Office of Financial Management and Policy( OFMP)

1. FCIP is open to students and non-students. You do NOT have to be a student to participate in the FCIP. Refer to job postings for required qualifications.

Position Overview and Duties
The OASAM performs for the Secretary the administrative management functions (exclusive of financial and information resources, equal employment opportunity, acquisition, grants and general management activities of the Program Support Center .

The incumbent is responsible for providing technical assistance related to administrative management support services in several of the major program (NEO), OS Awards Program, PMAP, LMS and the HHS Career Program.  Conduct special studies or research projects related to the effectiveness and efficiency of OSEO operations.  Uses basic analytical techniques that do not require advanced knowledge or training to provide support in the development implementation of management policies, management improvement issues.  Research and/or analyzes administrative and/or program issues.  Determines pertinent issues and collects relevant information from a variety of sources.  Reviews information and applies standard analytical techniques.
 
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must meet the minimum qualifications within 60 days of the announcement closing date.

Minimum qualifications:
GS-09: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade; OR Master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's or equivalent degree; OR LL.B or J.D.;

Specialized Experience at the GS -7 Examples of specialized experience at the GS-09 level may include: Conducting special management studies or research projects for purchase of equipment; presenting investigations and findings with recommendations for improvements in policy and procedures; assisting in the development of presentations, arranging and conducting conferences/meetings with appropriate personnel.
