Editors comment: The UNMEE mission was dead from the get go because it was based on the wrong agreement signed in the wrong place. Ethiopia should have capitalized on its military upper hand in 2000 and pressed on its military campaign until the surnder of Shabiya.

The agreement should have been signed on the Tekeze bridge and Ethiopia should have sent a military general to sign the agreement. Obviously the UN is a spineless organization that serves the USA interests. Now the psychotic president-for-life of Eritrea is out of control and he has set a new precedent that you can eject UN peace keepers if you feel like it.

Unidentified Missile Sinks Eritrean Gun-Boat
Eritrean gun boat blown up
At least one gunboat belonging to Eritrea was sunk after being hit by a missile yesterday. According to highly reliable sources the boat was blown to pieces after taking a direct hit. All the crew members were believed to have been killed, the sources said.
