Ethiopia Makes Major Purchase of DAT/EM Systems Software

Tigrai Online, August 01, 2012

The Ethiopian Information Network Security Agency (INSA) has recently completed the purchase and installation of photogrammetric mapping software from DAT/EM Systems International, and introductory and advanced training on the software. DAT/EM and its representative in Ethiopia, Corporate GIS and Computer Center (3C PLC), completed the sale after a lengthy study and evaluation process by INSA.

According to Mr. Stan Moll, DAT/EM’s International Business Development Manager, “this purchase of state-of-the-art digital workstations by the Ethiopian government is another instance of the widespread adoption of DAT/EM technologies in Ethiopia. DAT/EM’s long-term and growing presence in Ethiopia will allow them to efficiently accomplish their goal of collecting current and high-quality digital base maps from earth-sensing instruments of all types.” Mr. Jemal Ali Beshir, CEO of 3CPLC, says “INSA is a discriminating and thoughtful client, and their selection of DAT/EM products validates the similar decisions by other Ethiopian agencies.”
