I am an Ethiopian living in Ethiopia. I have listened a speech made by a man named Dr. Wondimu Mekonen,  on 30 July, 2013 on tigraionline .

I feel sorry to the house of commons parliament to allow suck kind of evil minded Ethiopian (if he is so) to talk such kind of baseless fabrications and hatred in your parliament, representing only a few unsound minded, criminal Ethiopians who are devoid of conscience, while there are many well educated, politically matured and international minded ones who can express the truth about Ethiopia and about our former great leader Meles Zenawi. The man can only cheat innocent people who do not know the face of Ethiopia twenty years ago and what is actually Ethiopia looking today. We in Ethiopia are much better aware of our country not because someone has said something but by observing the actual condition in our country.

I do not know this man earlier but what I understood from his speech is he must be either crazy or full of hatred because of his past mistakes. He mentioned the names of Amhara, Tigray, gambella and other ethnic groups to split Ethiopians by ethnicity. However, we majority Ethiopians at home are thinking only about how to eliminate our poverty together. This was what our great leader Meles Zenawi fought, thought and died for. Great Meles Zenawi taught us equality among ethnic groups and religions and he practically did it. Now the problems of ethnicity and religions are over in Ethiopia at people’s level, the only remaining problem to be solved being eliminating poverty from Ethiopia.

We Ethiopians know that Meles Zenawi had great mind and he did so many great things to Ethiopia and to Africa. Had he been living only for himself and for his family, he would have become a multi-billionaire, not by stealing people’s money but by writing good books because of his unique genius mind. However, he self actualized himself and changed the nation as a whole because of his capable leadership with in short period, instead of living for himself. In the end, Meles Zenawi has passed away without even building personal house but he built Ethiopia as a house for all Ethiopians. A few criminal Ethiopians may be like so called Dr. Wondimu Mekonen, who are self-centered and were killing poor Ethiopians during the Derg regime can hide themselves abroad and shout like mad dog because they are already losers.

A government that claims fighting terrorism and protecting human right of the globe as a whole like that of UK, should not be a comfortable place to criminals and blood suckers who create chaos in peaceful weak countries like what the so called Dr. Wondimu Mekonen is trying for  Ethiopia now.
