Dr. Debretsion Gebremichael urges more investment in Tigrai

The President ofTigray Regional State Dr. Debretsion Gebremichael urgedAmbassadors from Asia -Pacific countries to strengthen investment partnership of their respective country with Tigray.

While having a discussion with six Ambassadors in his office today, the President said Tigray has various investment opportunities.

He said, "we are happy if you come with investorsif not just comenow and then because Tigray is alsoyoursecond home".

The Ambassadors of Kazakistan,Bangladish, Pakistan, Sirilanka,Turkey and Indonosia said they had a fruitful discussion with Dr. Debretsion Gebremichael.

Theyappreciated theregional efforts exertedto alleviate poverty and ensure sustainable development.The Ambassadors also vowed to back the regional government'sendavour to ensure sustainable economic growth.Thevisit was organizedby Ethio-Nejashi and TigrayRegional State.

According to the organizers the objective of the visit is to letthose Ambassadors know aboutthe various investment opportunities and other development activities in Tigray.

The Commissioner ofTigray Investment Engineer Abebe Girmay said the presence of committed industrious work force,cheap labour, diversified investment opportunities and proximity to ports could be a previllage for those who invest in Tigray.Tigray is thelandof civilizationwithdifferent religious, cultural and historical heritages, he added.

TheAmbassadors have visited Mekelle Industrial Park, Messobo Cement Factory,Mekelle University, Al Nejashi one ofAfrica's oldest mosques, and Mesfinn Engineering Campany and other industries.
