The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia wins a 2015 prestigious United Nations Public Service Award for successfully providing Integrated Housing and Development program.

The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia wins a 2015 prestigious United Nations Public Service Award for successfully providing Integrated Housing and Development Programme (IHDP).
The United Nations awards countries for providing outstanding public service to their people. This award is given every July for the winners.
The United Nations recognized Ethiopia’s extensive work in providing affordable public housing. In the past ten years Ethiopia has built 206 thousand houses in 56 towns.
Thousands of Ethiopians are benefiting from the Ethiopian governments huge housing development. The United Nations recognition of Ethiopia’s housing development work is an indication Ethiopia is in the right path.
The award was received by the State Ministry of Urban Development, Housing and Construction, Mr. Desalegn Ambaw.
