Ethiopian Airlines, the fastest growing and most profitable airline in Africa, has been voted as “Best Airline of Chinese New Tourism” on January 16, 2014, at a ceremony held in New Century Grand Hotel in Beijing. The “Chinese New Tourism" awards were organized by the Beijing Tourism Bureau under the theme "New Tourism, New Life” and was attended by travel agencies, tourism bureaus, hotels and airlines.

Ethiopian recently celebrated 40 years of reliable service to China. Today the airline serves four destinations in china and has 28 weekly flights to Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Beijing, and Hong Kong, using the B787 and B777.
Passengers in China have recently voted Ethiopian as “Africa’s Best Business Class Airline.” Ethiopian is also the receiver of the 2013 SKYTRAX award for "Best Airline Staff Service in Africa,” the Passengers Choice Award for "Best Airline in Africa.”
