Ethiopians living in Switzerland have raised over 100, 000.00 Swiss Franc about $105630.00 USA dollars for the Grand Renaissance Dam in a very successful fundraising event. The event was organized by the Ethiopian community in Geneva and attended by Ethiopians and friends of Ethiopia.

The fundraising which was attended by over 500 people was very peacefully. The crowd was diverse and it was mixed of supporters and none supporters of EPRDF. The event was also attended by Africans and people from all over Europe.

We would like to say congratulations to the whole Ethiopian community in Geneva! We have successfully raised more than 100,000.00 Swiss Franc for the Grand Renaissance Dam. It has been an amazing event and we are proud of our community who came together to support one of the biggest projects our country have ever done.

This is just the beginning!
