Gilgel Gibe three hydro dam project nearly completed photo

Gilgel Gibe III hydro dam project is the second biggest mega projects in Ethiopia. When it fully operational it will produce 1875MW electric power the second largest in the country next to the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam. The GERD will produce a whapping 6000MW of electric power.

The Gilgel Gibe three project is nearly completed as you can see from the above photo.

Engineer Azeb Asnake the senior engineer of the project recently said the project will be fully operational at the end of the Ethiopian calendar year.
