Dr. Debretsion Gebremichael president of Tigrai state vows to fight injustice against the Tigrai people in a huge rally in Mekelle, Tigrai

Dr. Debretsion Gebremichael, President of Tigrai state pledges to fight against bankrupt extremists who were defeated in the bitter military struggle, but now threatening the people of Tigrai and the Ethiopian people in general. In a huge rally called in support of the federal system in Ethiopia and real peace with Eritrea, the Tigrai state president unequivocally stated there are forces who are hell bent to destroy the constitutional order and the federal system in Ethiopia. Dr. Debretsion called on the federal government to stop the evil forces targeting the people of Tigrai in Ethiopia.

The people of Tigrai and Eritrea share common language, history, culture, tradition, border, and blood. Dr. Debretsion Gebremichael added even the recent history of Eritrea and Tigrai military struggle against the brutal Dergi government is a living testament of the two people’s indivisible stand against a common enemy. Hundreds of fighters from both EPLF and TPLF has been buried in one cemetery in the time of the military struggle.

The state president said in order for real peace to come between Ethiopia and Eritrea, there should be reconciliation forum arranged for the people of Eritrea, Tigrai and Afar to discuss about peace.
