Diaspora Participation in Investment in Ethiopia

Ethiopian economy is booming in fact Ethiopia is the fastest growing economy in Africa and one the best performing countries in the world.

The Ethiopian economy is based on agriculture, which in 2008/09 contributed approximately 43% of the gross domestic product (GDP) and 86% of foreign currency earnings. The country is at the top of the list for investors in Sub-Saharan Africa. According to the World Bank for the last six ten years the Ethiopian real GDP grew by an average of 11.5 percent per year.

Ethiopia is ripe for investment and hundreds of investors are flooding the country. There are many investment opportunities in the country to choose from and Ethiopia have young and healthy work force.
