Dear Tigrayans in the Diaspora,

Many of you have expressed that our three-year UNITED tireless fight for our people has slowed down since the peace deal was signed in Pretoria, South Africa. We at SJT insist that it is time to evaluate the reasons why we are not actively advocating and answer the questions: what are we missing? What has prevented us from intensively continuing to be the voice of the people of Tigray and be problem solvers? and figure out how to work together to achieve more and better results.

At this pivotal time, our 3-year fight for peace, justice, and accountability for crimes committed against the people of Tigray is at the greatest risk. The UN lead independent investigation ICHREE (International Commission of Human Rights Experts on Ethiopia) is on the verge of being defunded during the upcoming UNHRC meeting in September 2023 unless we all work together urgently leaving no stone unturned.

The governments of Ethiopia, Eritrea, and Amhara region, as well as their armed forces, and those nations who supported the Genocidal war against the people of Tigray, will not be accountable for the crimes of Genocide, Ethnic cleansing, and destruction of all socio-economic properties unless extended the mandate of ICHREE.

Therefore, the Global Advocacy organization - Security and Justice for Tigrayans (SJT) is inviting all Diaspora Tigrayans to a Global Zoom meeting on Sunday, August 13, 2022, @ 2:00 pm US Eastern time to have a joint discussion on how all together fight for the extension of the mandate of the International Investigative Committee on Ethiopia (ICHREE), implement the Cessation of Hostilities Agreement (COHA), withdrawals of enemy forces from Tigray, return the displaced Tigrayans to their homes, and resume the supply of Humanitarian Aid to the needy Tigrayans.

The participation of Each Tigrayan in the scheduled Global Zoom Conference is very important. SJT once again humbly invites you to attend the Zoom Conference where we can discuss the problems that are happening to our people and decide on the topics that will allow us to march together.
