An Ethiopian military light airplane crashed on Thursday, all 17 people on board lost their lives
An Ethiopian military airplane crashed on Thursday August 30, 2018, killing all the 17 people on board the small plane. According the video above from Ethiopian television the aircraft crashed when it was flying from the city of Dire Dawa to the Ethiopian air force headquarters in Bishoftu, Oromia state. The city of Bishoftu is a resort town southeast of the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa.
Out of those who lost their lives five were civilian family members of the military personnel, three members of the flight crew, and nine members of the Ethiopian defense forces. The light military airplane crashed when it was about 40 kilometers away from its destination. Generally the Southern part of Ethiopia is really very tense.

The Ethiopian military did not explain why the airplane crashed or what was its mission. Lately the city of Dire Dawa has experienced violent clashes between different ethnic groups in the city. The Somali state is still under the federal government control and demonstration against the Abiy administration has erupted in many towns of the state against the illegal removal of the president of the state.
