The Seventh general conference of TPLF concluded successfully in Mekelle city yesterday. The conference has been going on for a week in the capital city of Tigrai State, Mekelle. Tigrai Online received an official press release this morning from the organization. The press release is only available in Tigringa for now.

The conference was attended by thousands of people including the top leadership of TPLF, elected members of the organization, and representatives of EPRDF member organizations.

The TPLF’s executive and central committee lengthy closed meeting concluded back in November 2017. As a result of that long closed meeting there was some change that brought Dr Debretsion Geberemichael as a chairman of the TPLF effective president of Tigrai.

The Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Democratic Front also concluded its executive committee meeting recently. All these meetings are supposed to turn around the country from sliding into civil war or disintegrate in to pieces. Since the end of 2015 Ethiopia has been going from crisis to crisis. EPRDF admitted mostly it is their fault things got out of hand. The TPLF also took responsibility for many of the failures that took place in the past few years.

We hope something tangible and long lasting peace would come out of all the meetings.
