ISIS released a video showing killing of 30 Ethiopian and Eritrean Christians

Edited May 11, 2015 - removed photos and video

The video footage which is about 29 minutes long shows a group of 15 young men being beheaded in the Mediterranean Sea on a beach and another fifteen shot in the head in the southern part of Libya in a desert.

Judging from their features the victims seem Ethiopians. We don’t know how many of them are Ethiopians and how many of them are Eritreans, or all of them could be Ethiopians it does not matter at this point. We know one fact is clear, those barbaric evil terrorists have killed innocent immigrants and taken away these young people’s lives in a horrific way for absolutely no reason. Many Eritreans and to a lesser extent Ethiopians use Libya as a transit country to cross to Europe mainly to Italy. Most likely those young men were on their way to Europe and the people traffickers sold them to ISIS or they were kidnapped by ISIS.

A few months ago ISIS killed 21 Egyptian Christians in the same beach on the Mediterranean Sea. Egypt retaliated by bombing the ISIS strong holds in Libya.

The leader of the ISIS group who led the killings of those young Christian young men directly threatened any Christians if they don’t convert to Islam.” Moslim blood that was shed under the hands of your religion is not cheap, in fact their blood is the purest blood because there is a nation behind them inherits revenge and we swear to Allah the one who disgraced you by our hands you will not have safety even in your dreams until you embrace Islam” he said.

So far we have not heard any confirmation from the Ethiopian government that the victims of the terrorist group are Ethiopians.

This extremely infectious disease is spreading to Africa and it is worst than Aids, Ebola, and worst than the Swine flu. If it is not completely destroyed at any cost, it will consume the world.

We at Tigrai Online would like to give our deepest and heartfelt condolences to the families of this men. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time. We are sure all Ethiopians are behind you.
