Ethiopians celebrating 40th Anniversary of TPLF in Kuwait city
TPLF's 40th Anniversary Colorfully Celebrated throughout the U.S.A and world wide

The 40th anniversary of the founding of Tigray Peoples’ Liberation Front / TPLF / was colorfully marked with the highest festivity, utmost jubilation and glory in Washington D.C., Houston and Dallas / Texas / on February 20 and 21, 2015.
The landmark event which heralded a turning point for good, in the millennia history of the doubly oppressed nations, nationalities and peoples of Ethiopia was commemorated with a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs who were the fallen heroes and heroines during the past Forty years of the bitter and arduous struggle by thousands of audience that converged from the above cited cities and their Environs.
A statement read out on behalf of the Central committee of the TPLF during the event highlighted the hard-won gains of equality, justice and democracy. It also called upon peace loving Ethiopians to be vigilant and watchful against extremist forces of Mayhem, lawlessness and violence in view of the upcoming 5th National and Regional election.
In Washington D.C. where the event was celebrated with an audience full to the brim, Ambassador Girma Birru Special Envoy, and Ambassador Extra-Ordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia to the US, made a moving and touching speech wherein he enumerated Four distinguishing characteristics of the TPLF, namely; the Clarity of its Objectives, its Inclusiveness, its unmatched Heroism and Perseverance and its popular nature or Peoples’ centered nature.
The Special Envoy stated that it is due to these distinguishing features of the organization which have been wholly embraced by all nations, nationalities and peoples of Ethiopia, primarily through the correct leadership of the EPRDF, our beloved nation, has continued to register gigantic strides through the Growth and Transformation Plan.
Representatives of EPRDF member organizations praised the TPLF for primarily igniting the popular struggle that has culminated in a Federal Constitutional system by the concerted sacrifice paid by all nations, nationalities and peoples of Ethiopia.
Renaissance Council members and representatives of women associations through their participations gave an added color to the celebratory mood.
Traditional bread and cake cutting ceremony was undertaken by prominent community elder’s members and live musical extravaganza accompanied by modern and diverse cultural and traditional songs that continued entertained the various audiences.
Similarly celebration of the 40th anniversary of T.P.L.F took place in the American cities of Boston, Columbus, Charlotte, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, New York city, Rochester, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Nashville.
In addition to the United States of America, Ethiopians and friends of Ethiopia celebrated the birthday of T.P.L.F in London, Kuwait and Tokyo.
