Dr. Tedros Adhanom elected as the New Director General of W.H.O the first Ethiopian and the African to hold this psot.
Dr. Tedros Adhanom becomes the first Ethiopian and the first African to lead the World Health Organization (WHO) on Tuesday May 23, 2017 in Geneva.
Dr. Tedros Adhanom a former Ethiopian Foreign Affairs and Health Minister got 121 votes out of the total 185 votes. He beat Dr. Sania Nishtar of Pakistan and the British candidate Dr. David Nabarro.

Dr. Tedros Adhanom who is from the Tigrai State of Northern Ethiopia had faced an avalanche of poisonous and false allegations from racist extremist Ethiopian groups. The prophets of poverty who are viciously target anybody anything from the state of Tigrai tried their best to deface Dr. Tedros Adhanom’s unmatchable record by spreading unfounded lies, but at the end they fail to achieve their goal of stopping Dr. Tedros from reaching one of the highest offices of the United Nations.
The Ethiopian extremist group’s unprecedented attack only exposed their fake cry of unity. We have known what they stand for all along.
