The top leadership of the Tigrayan People's Liberation Front – TPLF is in a closed intense meting to assess the overall performance of the party in the state of Tigrai and in the rest of Ethiopia.
In light of what has been going on in the country in the past few years and now, the debates, criticisms and discussions will be extremely fierce. No doubt after the conclusion of the meetings there will be change, not any change, but a big change and the people don’t expect less than an absolute perfection.
The TPLF should go back in time and revisit the 1970s and 80s when every Tigrawai inside and outside of the country was working in unison to reach their goal of defeating the enemy and expel them from Tigrai. The people of Tigrai need that unity and energy now.
Rumors are flying from left and right about what is taking place in some of meetings, but since the meeting is closed most likely all of them are false. What is not false is the people don’t want to hear the usual press release stating the TPLF successfully concluded its meeting. The people want to see a completely overhauled organization that is not afraid to tackle any problems in the state and in Ethiopia. Our people are expecting to see a powerful TPLF reemerge more united after it cleanses itself from the filth it collected over the years. All are watching the TPLF to be an example to the rest of EPRDF sister organizations.
No body or nothing should stand in the way of TPLF’s renewal. There should be only one interest when it comes to the TPLF, and that is the interest of the people of Tigrai. It should never be about the interest of some group, individuals, or political correctness. TPLF has a primary responsibility under the umbrella organization of EPRDF. TPLF is responsible for the development of Tigrai and the safety of its people. At the end of this meeting the refocus of the TPLF should be strengthening the base of TPLF and advocating for its people. There should not be any quarreling between any organs of the organization no matter where they are. If they are in Mekelle or in Addis Ababa they should work as one unit.

Since its inception the TPLF had gone through many parlous and critical situations. At the end the TPLF always comes out not only successful, but much stronger than before and with much vigor. If the TPLF failed to come out of the current meeting with the needed robustness and strength, those groups flexing their new found muscle thanks to the sacrifice of 65 thousand Tigraian youth will not stop at nothing, but the destruction of the country.
For those who think they can undermined the people of Tigrai or the TPLF, think twice and know where you are aiming your propaganda primitive sticks or you are going to find yourself in a deep quagmire where there is no way out.
