Many Ethiopian and none Ethiopian experts in the geopolitics of the Horn of Africa are saying Ethiopia should not try to bring regime change in Eritrea at this time.
Few of the reasons for no regime change in Eritrea:
The Eritrean regime is so weak it does not pose any real direct or indirect threat to Ethiopia at this time, so there is no need for the Ethiopian people and government to spend any energy to topple it.
The No War No Peace policy is working so beautifully as a result the Eritrean one man regime’s working force and army are virtually none existent.
The Eritrean opposition is in so much disarray there is no organized force that will take charge and govern the country after the fall of the dictator. There are so many opposition groups fighting among each other it will be a nightmare to find a cohesive body to take the government.

In the absence of well organized opposition to take power after the fall of the PFJD gang, a power vacuum could be created and extremist forces like ISIS might take advantage of it.
On the other hand there many Ethiopians who say the Eritrean regime might be in a very weak state, but it still can master enough force to disrupt the lightning speed economic growth and development taking place in Ethiopia. Some people say circumstances could change and the Eritrean regime could launch devastating attack in the northern part of the country as a last resort to get attention from the international community.
What is your take on this issue in light of the recent developments in Eritrea?
Notice: If you are Eritrean don’t pretend to be Ethiopian state your argument in a polite respectful way and we will post your comments if not they will be deleted automatically.
