The Ethiopian joint session of the two houses of parliament elected Ambassador Mulatu Teshome (PhD) as the new president of Ethiopia.
Dr. Mulatu Teshome was born in western Ethiopia Wellega region. The 55 years old former ambassador is highly educated and married family man.
Dr. Mulatu Teshome served in various diplomatic missions and until recently he was Ethiopia’s ambassador to Turkey, China, Japan and Thailand.
The outgoing president former President Girma Woldegiorgis has served 12 years term. We congratulate and wish Dr. Mulatu Teshome great success on his new endeavour to serve his country the new head of state.
