President Barak Obama starts official visit in Ethiopia

President Barak Obama arrives in Ethiopia to start a two day official visit in Ethiopia and the African Union
The United States President, Barak Obama landed at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Sunday. He was received by Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn and other government officials including African Union officials were present when Air Force One touched down.
The President flew from neighboring Kenya to Ethiopia after his visit to Kenya. He will have talks with Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn, Ethiopian President Dr. Mulatu Teshome and African Union officials.

President Obama is the first sitting president to visit Ethiopia. The visit of the American president to Ethiopia is seen by many as a sign of strength and growing influence of Ethiopian nation.
In addition to bilateral talks with Ethiopian leaders, he will talk about security in the region specifically about the worsening situation in South Sudan.
Ethiopian opposition inside and outside of the country and their handlers tried their best to stop President Barak Obama from visiting Ethiopia by fabricating false stories, but they fell to stop him.
